About TodoTraveler

Maya Bennett, founder and editor of TodoTraveler

Hi, I’m Maya Bennett — founder and editor of TodoTraveler.

I started TodoTraveler with a simple frustration: trip planning took too long and most guides buried the useful stuff under fluff. So I built the site I wished existed — fast, honest, practical guides that tell you what’s actually worth your time, what it costs, and how to plan it without the guesswork.

Every guide on TodoTraveler is researched from official sources — tourism boards, park services, museums, transit agencies — and written for real decisions. If an attraction is overrated, we’ll tell you. If there’s a smarter time to go, a cheaper ticket, or a better alternative nearby, you’ll find it here.

What makes TodoTraveler different

We keep it tight. No ten-paragraph intros, no padded lists. Each guide opens with a shortlist for time-pressed readers, a key-facts box for planning, and entries you can skim in about thirty seconds. Planning a trip should feel exciting — not like homework.

A few things I believe

Honest beats comprehensive. A shorter guide you can trust beats a longer one you can’t. Prices, hours, and reservation rules change — we verify them, date our research, and tell you when to double-check. And we never recommend something because someone paid us to.
